Grace can sound dangerous when you misunderstand it. If God forgives freely, why not keep sinning and let grace “abound”? We go straight to Romans 6, where Paul doesn’t soften the answer, and Dr. Timothy Mann shows why the gospel never creates a loophole. The heart of the message is union with Christ: believers are identified with Jesus so deeply that his death to sin and his resurrection life define our new reality.

We talk through what it means to be “baptized into Christ,” why your spiritual history can be traced back to the cross, and how that breaks sin’s dominion. Along the way, we connect Romans 6 with key passages like Galatians 2:20 and Colossians 3:1 to show that sanctification is not self-improvement, it is living out who you already are in Christ. That’s why treating grace as permission doesn’t just miss the point, it signals you may not understand grace at all.

Dr. Mann explains the word as an accounting term: credit it to your account, keep counting it true, and let that truth shape your choices before temptation hits. We close with the call to action Romans 6 demands: stop offering your body to sin, and decisively present yourself to God as an instrument of righteousness, because “sin shall not have dominion over you” under grace.
