Peace with God can feel elusive when your conscience is loud and your faith feels small. In Romans 5:1, Paul gives us something sturdier than a mood: a courtroom verdict. Because we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that peace is a present possession, not a reward we earn after we “do better.”

We talk honestly about one of the most common battles Christians face: doubt about whether salvation is real or whether it can be lost. Dr. Timothy Mann explains why Scripture calls salvation a helmet for the mind, and why the difference between eternal security (objective, grounded in God’s Word) and assurance (subjective, guarded in the heart) matters for everyday life. If salvation must be preserved by works, then grace quietly turns into performance, and hope turns into constant uncertainty.

From there we zero in on the first link in Paul’s chain of gospel truths: peace with God. That peace is not simply inner calm. It means the war is over.
