The Lord’s Prayer can become so familiar that we stop hearing how disruptive it really is. We open Luke 11:1–4 and slow down long enough to let Jesus reshape our instincts about Christian prayer, not as a ritual to recite but as a pattern that forms a life rooted in Scripture and anchored in the grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
