Many people have been affected by the flooding in Texas from Hurricane Harvey. While the storm may have passed through, after the rain, God is still there. These talented men are dedicating this song to all of Texas as they continue to deal with aftermath of this natural disaster. One day, we will all live out our days in Heaven, where there isn't a cloud in the sky. Amen!

Jim McIngvale is known around Texas as Mattress Mack. He made a name for himself selling furniture, but now he's being recognized all over the nation for his kindness during Hurricane Harvey. When many people were displaced from their homes, he opened his stores to offer shelter and provide food for those in need. Thanks to his graciousness, hundreds of people have a place to sleep and 3 meals a day. Jim knows that he may be losing money by sheltering the flood victims, but he says 'We can afford that and what we can't afford is to cause these people to lose hope, we got to give hem hope.' What a blessing to see this kindness of humanity during this natural disaster.

A caution, unfortunately, many people seem to have taken this event as a means to party, almost a ‘worship the creation instead of the creator’ scenario. The definition of Idolatry is when people place anything as more important than God.
As you are going out & about this week, will you think about who God is? As busy as life can be, it is easy to get distracted by things that have no eternal value. Keep in mind the person [Jesus] who created everything [which includes the sun, moon.. & us…]. We will all stand in front of Him & give an account of our life & sins. That’s when we see the finality resulting from Jesus’ payment for our sins.
We encourage you to worship God in spirit & in truth today, while God has given us the time. The finality of today’s kind of event is still coming…. [Revelation 6:12; 16:10]

32-year-old Annie Smith thought she may have her baby at home when she went into labor during Hurricane Harvey. Floodwaters surrounded her apartment and their was no way her husband would be able to drive her to the hospital. The couple are both doctors, so they began to gather up supplies around the house in case the baby came. Then, a neighbor stopped by and saw the situation. They sent out an e-mail to the complex and at least 15 people came right away to help the Smiths. Throughout this time, the couple has been calling 911 for assistance. Thankfully, helped arrived but they still needed to get Annie out to the large vehicle. The neighbors all formed a human chain and helped get her onto the truck and off to the hospital. 12 hours later, the baby arrived and both mom and infant are doing great. God bless these neighbors that came together in Annie's time of need!

13-year-old Angelina Green earned the coveted golden buzzer with her first audition on America's Got Talent. Her powerful voice caught the attention of both the judges and the audience. Now, she's back singing a moving rendition of 'Gravity' by Sara Bareilles. I'm so glad this talented young girl is showcasing her voice for all the world to hear. Who else thinks this teen is going to go far in the competition?

Hurricane Harvey has devastated countless people all over Texas. They have been displaced from their homes and left with just the clothes on their backs. But hope can always be found, even in the most dire of circumstances. Just watch as these flood victims at a shelter all come together to lift His glorious name in praise. Together, they sing the gospel hit 'Spirit Break Out' and it's absolutely incredible to witness. When we put our trust in God, He will see you through the storm. So beautiful!

When 7-year-old Elijah McDonald rang Caroline McSwain's doorbell, she was a bit confused. Elijah was all dressed up when he said "Can I be your ring berry?" Caroline couldn't understand what Elijah was saying but she hugged the sweet boy anyways. That's when Caroline turned around and saw her boyfriend down on one knee. Elijah's parents have been Caroline's neighbors for many years and the little boy has become a special part of her life. So when it came time for her boyfriend to propose, he knew he wanted Elijah involved. This was an extra special surprise because Caroline actually helped Elijah's dad propose to his mom when she was Elijah's age. This is such a sweet moment and I'm so glad it was all caught on camera!
