Are you ready to wish upon a star? You might want to think twice after you watch the movie trailer for ‘Wish,’ an upcoming Disney animation film. 

This movie is the movie we have been waiting for. It gives us all the feels and reminds us of why we adore Disney. You don’t want to miss this trailer. Get ready to be a kid again with the power to believe in a wish. 

This family-friendly movie is heartwarming and funny as Asha (Ariana DeBose), a 17-year-old teen, wishes on a star to help save her kingdom when she senses an evil force invading her home. King Magnifico (Chris Pine), the ruler of the Kingdom Rosas, tries to foil Asha’s wish. 

But Asha makes a wish so powerful it is answered by a cosmic force in the form of a  hyper little ball of energy named Star. Asha and Star’s sidekick happens to be Asha’s pet goat  Valentino (Alan Tudyk) received his wish to talk. The trio of unlikely heroes set off on a courageous quest to save an entire kingdom. 

The movie invites us to go on an adventure with Asha, where your heart’s desire can become a reality. ‘Wish’ is coming on the heels of celebrating 100 years of Disney itself. It’s the perfect film for their 100-year anniversary. The film is set to be released in November of 2023. We can’t wait to learn more about the feature animated film! The premise of the movie ties in with Psalm 20:4, “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” 

God cares about our unfulfilled dreams and desires, but his ways are not our ways. Instead of focusing on the desires of our hearts, we are encouraged to seek Christ first. In turn, his desires become our desires. His dreams become our dreams. His purpose then becomes our purpose. I believe this film will remind us of God’s promises and how wonderous, miraculous things can happen when we’re courageous.

You’ll be ready for the holidays right now after checking out this trailer for Journey To Bethlehem, a live-action musical with Antonio Banderas! Oh my goodness, it looks amazing!

The story of the birth of Jesus has been told in many ways—though not nearly as often as it should be. The most incredible and meaningful birth in history has been shared through films for adults and kids. Children’s films like The Little Drummer Boy (1968) and at least one Veggie Tales video have depicted the journey that Mary and Joseph took before Jesus was born. New Line Cinema released The Nativity Story in 2006. 

A few churches, with volunteers playing all of the parts, create the story each season. The re-enactments allow guests to get just a glimpse of what Mary and Joseph felt as they traveled and hoped to find a safe place to stay. Sight & Sound Theatres produce and share the story at their Pennsylvania and Missouri locations. But Affirm Films brings something completely new,  and we can all experience it! 

The trailer is 80 seconds long, but you won’t need that much time to be sold on seeing the film when it comes out in November! We see depictions of majesty and faraway places. There are colorful costumes, both royal and lowly. Expressions of worry and fear flash across the screen. It’s a cornucopia of faces and feelings, with musical numbers that complement each!

All of those feelings and places are real; they were experienced by real people. And it’s not just the heavier elements that the trailer promises. Joy is abundant in the trailer! Delight smiles, and humor are present, as they absolutely should be!     

Of course, there is a gifted cast and… Antonio Banderas! One commenter wrote, “I did not know I needed a nativity story musical until I saw this trailer.” Amen, sister! 

Journey To Bethlehem looks like a film to add to your list of Christmas viewing and must-sees!

Psalm 62:8 says, “Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.” Wynonna Judd shares her journey of grief in this intimate documentary. Wynonna and her sister Ashley lost their country star mother, Naomi, at the age of 76. She passed on April 30, 2022. 

Wynonna was in the habit of visiting her mom and dad on a daily basis. Sadly, Wynonna is now on a healing journey between grief and trauma because she was the one who discovered her mother after she passed. 

Now, Wynonna is thinking about the tour they initially planned together. Not only was she grieving the loss of her mother and how she passed, but Wynonna also had to think about her mother’s legacy and their tour. 

Her husband encouraged her to consider going back on tour and told her she deserved to celebrate the legacy of her mother. When she began planning the tour, she tentatively reached out to a few of her country friends like Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Brandi Carlile, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Trisha Yearwood, and Ashley McBryde. Her friends were quick to say yes. They were more than willing to give their time and talent to support Wynonna in her darkest hour and help celebrate the memory of Naomi, who created a platform for women in the world of country music. 

“Here's what I know about grief it hits in waves, and you just don't know when it's going to happen, Wynonna said. The documentary “Wynonna Judd: Between Hell and Hallelujah,” was released via Paramount Pictures and follows Wynonna’s journey of healing, perseverance, and what it means to have support from others in the face of tragedy. 

This documentary will offer viewers moving and intimate footage of Wynonna trusting in the Lord and with her friends as she honors her mother and processes her grief.
