Identity and Purpose

What are you here for? What is your identity? What is your purpose in this life?

Never Wear Borrowed Armor

A message from Adam Gomez concerning Identity and Purpose.

Message For MEN: Coward vs Warrior

Jesus was not a pushover. He set the standard for men around the world to emulate how he was. How men think a a man is these days is very distorted and it is the exact opposite of what Jesus was. God placed men to look after their families and to lead their households and bring up their children in godly paths, being merciful, righteous, gentle, nonviolent, having self-control and doing good to others which is the mark of a truly strong man of noble character. Instead we have this evil cowardly flesh. I know very well how the flesh is for a man. I myself am the age that Jesus started his ministry and I've been around and I know things. I know how the flesh is. It is cowardly and it is weak. I don't care who you are but as a man you have all kinds of things inside. Things like lust. You see men have little desires of lust of various kinds inside. And it is these lusts that we become controlled by; driving us to commit immorality and sin. It is what drives the trafficking industry in the world. Prostitution even child prostitution, adulteries, violence, broken families. All because of a little desire of lust that gains control over us and we become a helpless slave to it. We go and look to other things like drugs, pursuits, to try and find meaning in this life. We just chase our own ways. We try and get away from who we are because we become enslaved to these desires inside of the flesh which is weak, WEAKNESS. So the image of man in society is actually a coward. To them man is

BONDAGE OF SIN - PART 1/2 - BY VALDEMIR MOTA DE MENEZES

For best performance we see the Holy Spirit breaking the dominion of sin and the flesh in our lives, we must recognize that Paul is the law of sin as a captive:

"Because, after the inward man I delight in God's law, but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." Romans 7:22,23

Pay attention to the phrase used by the writer "take captive." It is this line of reasoning he declares in Romans 8:15 that we have not received the "spirit of bondage". The law of sin and death, is actually a bondage.

After thinking this bondage of sin extends and presents creation itself (ecosystems) enslaved and yearning for liberation:

"For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the freedom of God's children.

Because we know that the whole creation together, and groans in the pains of childbirth together until now, and not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. "Romans 8:19-23

And the Word of God draws a parallel between nature and humanity in these terms: both are in "bondage to decay", both awaiting release, and both have the same language

SPIRIT AGAINST THE FLESH

Meet your sins, your weaknesses: greed, ANGER AND SEX

"I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary to one another, to not do the things that ye would. "(Galatians 5:16,17)

We live in war twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. It is a battle uninterrupted, not only against demons but against our own flesh. The apostle Paul declared that he saw on his body a war between his inner man - that he delighted in the law of God, and his flesh - that way dominated by the law of sin.

God has commissioned us to overcome the flesh, and we can do it!

This is one area where the Holy Spirit came to minister in our lives to lead us to a holy life, victorious. And the benefits of the use of language in the spirit of prayer are directly linked to the areas of action of the Spirit of God in us. In short, if the Spirit's ministry is to win the meat, then it is certain that speaking in tongues will assist us in regard to this area. And just walking in the Spirit will overcome the desires and inclinations of the flesh.

The golden chapter in the Bible about walking in the Spirit and butchering meat is Romans 8. In chapter 7 Paul states that passed the inner conflict we all also pass "the good that I do not do this, and the evil which I would not do this." After asking the question: "Who will deliver me from this body of death?", Thus expressing its i

The Problem With People Pleasing

Have you ever found yourself living to please people? One of the problems with that is that you will never please everyone. 2 Corinthians 5:9 says "So whether we are at home or away we make it our aim to please him." Our focus is to please the Lord and not people.

In this video Mister Brown discusses 1 Corinthians 4:1-5 as well as 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 in order to help us see the Problem With People Pleasing.

Use It Or Lose It!

I must admit I have been given lots of gifts and that means I need to use them or face the hard truth that I might lose them. This is the message from the Parable of the Talents. Matthew 25:14-30
