In order to grow strong, we must grab hold of the resistance that comes against us and handle it just as we would handle the weights in a gym. We will not grow strong if we avoid resistance.

Emmanuel (God with us) did not come to us as He exists in Heaven—expecting us to pattern our lives after His Heavenly existence. He came to us as a man—expecting us to pattern our lives after His earthly existence. Please don't miss this! We must begin to consider the possibility that Jesus has made it possible for us to actually live out in our lives what He lived out in His. He wouldn't have used Himself as an example if His example was impossible to follow.
