The Good Samaritan_Luke 10: 30-37_Rev. Valerie Loner brings up the idea that the point of this parable may be realized by asking the right questions.

Christians are on a playing field of life. Our job is to play the game and win so we inherit eternal life. This is not salvation by works, but we must make an effort if we are going to score against the devil.
What makes for a winning team (football or any other sport)? It requires players, not spectators.
