We all must have a righteousness that exceeds anything we could ever produce through our own effort. That’s where Jesus enters! Failure to understand this truth is at the root of all feelings of guilt and condemnation. If we understand our right standing with God on the basis of what Jesus did for us, and not by our own actions, then the power to be condemned is gone. Are we not In Christ? 1 Corinthians 1:30 "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption" Today, God assesses us and sees us based on the perfection of Jesus Christ! Jesus’ righteousness is our righteousness! Right? Today aren't we as righteous as Jesus because our righteousness (right standing with God) is from Him? He purchased it for us at the cross. When we received Him as our Lord and Savior - our Substitute. He took away all our unrighteousness once and for all and gave us His gift of righteousness. This righteousness is something that you can never obtain or achieve through our right doing; it can only be received by our right believing. 2 Corinthians 5:21
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of God In HIM." Is it about "do, do do", or "done, done done"?
