For those struggling physically, financially, emotionally or spiritually, the holidays can be an unpleasant time of year. <p>In early October, Kailey and her husband, Cameron, were riding horses when she was thrown from the animal, hitting her head on a fence post on her way to the ground. <p>The wife and mother of two was initially admitted to the intensive care unit. Doctors learned that Kailey had suffered three broken vertebrae, a broken foot, a concussion as well a brain bleed.</p>

Kind Stranger Rescues Chihuahua Mix Missing For 22 Days

After a woman’s relentless search for a dog lost at the world’s busiest airport, Maia, a chihuahua mix pup, is back with her owner.

Animals have a way of sneaking their way into our hearts. Those furry, four-legged creatures essentially become members of the family. Whenever they are missing, for any amount of time, their absence is felt and noticeable. A lost or missing pet has to be one of the most stressful and anxiety-ridden situations anyone can experience.

Unfortunately, that was the exact situation that Paula Rodriguez experienced. It all began when Maia and her owner, Paula Rodriguez, were flying from the Dominican Republic to San Francisco, California, according to a clip posted on YouTube.

However, during a stop in Atlanta, Georgia, Paula, because she did not have the correct paperwork to enter the country, was forced to spend the night in the airport’s detention center. Because of the airport’s rules against pets in the detention center, Maia and Paula were separated, the clip reports. But the next day, Delta, who had agreed to take care of Maia for the night, lost the animal, with it getting free on the runway.

After that incident, many volunteers, including Robin Allgood, set out to help find and secure the animal. She put out hundreds of signs, hoping to find the animal. But weeks passed, and there was no sign of Maia.

But then, early one morning, Robin got a call that Maia had been spotted on the runway. After getting the runaround from anyone and everyone associated with the airport, Robin was eventually allowed into the area where a dog had been spotted 12 hours later.

It was Maia! After 22 days, the lost dog had been recovered.

The clip points out that Maia was dehydrated and had lost seven pounds during that time, but she was soon reunited with her owner.

Thanks to the relentless efforts of Robin, Maia was back home, reunited with her family.

<p>However, God placed the right people in the right place who knew what to do to try and get Greg’s heart working again. They had been prepared for such situations. Medical professionals, including two ER nurses, were also running in the Pennsylvania half marathon.</p>

<p>Those medical professionals got to work immediately, taking turns performing chest compressions on Greg until an ambulance arrived on the scene.</p>

<p>One man in the clip mentioned that he actually got sick to his stomach at one point but fought through it to help save Greg’s life.</p>

<p>“I started compressions right there,” one man said. “It felt like I broke every rib in his chest, honestly. And it made me, like, sick to my stomach, but I was like, ‘I have to do what I have to do.’”</p>

<p>But those medical professionals weren’t the only people who aided during the emergency. Bystanders helped to count for the medical professionals as they performed chest compressions on Greg. </p>

<p>A complete stranger came along and put her life at risk, and “by the grace of God,” she pulled a man paralyzed from the waist down out of a burning vehicle. </p>

<p>Life is a series of unexpected, unforeseen events. Some of those occurrences are welcome and joyous occasions. However, sometimes they do not produce any joy. In fact, they can be downright devastating and tragic. But during these trials and hardships, the love and kindness of others can make a world of difference. It can even save a life, as was the case for a Dallas, Texas, man.</p>

<p>Dennis Brown, who is confined to a wheelchair, was in a rental car when the vehicle burst into flames, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Li_Gk_0P_Q4">according to a video posted on YouTube</a>. The video of the scary incident shows the flames extending several feet from the front of the car, sending smoke high into the sky above.</p>

<p>Dennis mentioned that he had rented that vehicle several times before and stated that the car felt as if it was about to give out. When he looked up, he spotted the flames shooting from the car’s front end. </p>

<p>He then said a woman pulled him out of the burning car, moving him to safety. Dennis said that he would like to have the opportunity to show his gratitude to his rescuer, calling her move a “heroic act.”</p>

<p>But Dennis is not the only person grateful for saving his life. Dennis’ mother, Julia Brown, will be forever indebted to the mystery woman for what she did for her son.</p>

<p>“I cannot thank her enough,” Julia said. “Because if she hadn’t had pulled him out of there, he would have burned. She was his angel by the grace of God.”</p>

<p>That mother and son will be forever grateful for the heroic deed of that unnamed woman.</p>
