Question of the week: Have you ever felt like you were lost in the desert with no clue where God was leading you? Be Honest.

Shalom and welcome to the Parsha in 60 seconds

Today's portion is from Numbers 1:1--4:20 it is called Bamidbar which means "in the desert."

Bible PuppetsIn the wilderness, in the second month of the second year following the Exodus from Egypt, God directed Moses to take a census of the Israelite men age 20 years and up, there were 603,550 in all.

Levites could not do military service but were in charge of the tabernacle. If outsider came close they would be killed.

Israelite camp formation God instructed a camp formation to protect the tabernacle. The Levites were consecrated to God in place of all the firstborn of the other tribes. They took care of Aaron and the priests. There were 22,300 Levites total. There were 273 more firstborn of Israel then there were levites so God took five shekels per person and gave them to the priests.

Moses and Aaron took a separate census of the Kohathites between the ages of 30 and 50. They were in charge of carrying all sacred objects. They were not to see the objects uncovered or they would die.

And that is Bamidbar in 60 seconds.

Genesis 38:1-30

And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah. 2 And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her. 3 And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er. 4 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan. 5 And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him. 6 And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar. 7 And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him. 8 And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. 9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

Bart Ehrman's millions of variants

A closer look at Bart Ehrman's book entitled "Misquoting Jesus", using his own technique to look at the Bible.

Hearing God’s Voice: How to Listen to God When God Speaks to Us!

Hearing God’s voice is easy! In the video you’ll learn how to listen to God when He speaks to you…

The key is learning how God speaks to us. When God speaks, He can do it through people, through circumstances around us or even through our own thoughts through the Holy Spirit.

[For more free videos like this, check out: https://godsspeakingdevotional.com]

The interesting thing is that God doesn’t speak to me like He’ll speak to you. It’s very important that you pursue your own personal relationship with Him in the quiet place where you’ll learn how he specifically speaks to you.

The most important thing for you to remember is that Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice, so you can hear His voice! Spend time with God and you’ll find your way of listening to God…

And also, ask others how they hear the voice of God. He may be speaking to you but you’re simply not listening in the way He’s speaking.

How You Can Co-Create With God the Creator as You Trust in Him!

God is the Creator of the universe and HE gets great joy out of creating! Part of why He created you was so that you could co-create with Him.

We are made in the image and likeness of God and since He is the Creator it only makes sense that we were created with His fingerprint of creativity. He wants us to co-create with Him.

[For more free videos like this, check out: https://godsspeakingdevotional.com]

The thing we need to understand is that He trusts us as we put our trust in Him. He trusts us to create something that reflects who we are. It really is pretty awesome.

Honestly, God trusts us more then we trust ourselves. The main thing that keeps people from going out and taking part in creating something with their name on it is because they lack trust in themselves. And the only way to trust yourself more is to trust God completely.

Why?

Because as we trust Him, we start seeing ourselves the way He sees us and therefore we can’t help but trust ourselves.

So, go out there, trust God, and let your creativity run wild. As we are in Him, we should be the most creative people on earth!

Taking a Leap of Faith in Jesus for Your Breakthrough!

Before you’ll experience breakthrough, you must step out of the boat on faith. I’m sure you’ve had it happen where you didn’t take that leap of faith and then you later wonder what would have happened if you had.

[For more free videos like this, check out: https://godsspeakingdevotional.com]

It’s very important that we take that step of faith. The way to do that is simply to believe that God is good enough. We have to make a decision to keep our eyes on and our faith in Jesus and not on the problem we face. This will help us to step out of the boat when everyone else is going the opposite way.

There isn’t really a way to make risk easy but it does get easier as you spend more time with God and your trust level goes up. So, in essence if you want to build your faith in God, it’s all about relationship.

Faith, hope, and risk go hand in hand as hope will lead to faith and true faith contains an action that can be very risky.

So, step out there on faith and believe that God can do anything and will back you up!

How To Let Your Light Shine to Share The Goodness Of God!

If you want people to see the goodness of God you must let your light shine. The Bible says that the goodness of God is what leads to repentance. People must experience His goodness.

[For more free videos like this, check out: https://godsspeakingdevotional.com]

When you let your light shine by simply having an encouraging word or even just a smile, it can really affect people. Sharing the Gospel is really all about HIS incredible goodness. Sometimes it’s less about teaching and more about being Jesus to people.

If you want to share Christ with people you must first be so in love with Jesus that you become love. Then go and relate to people out of that love. And when you do that, trust me, you’ll be able to be part of transforming someone’s life. It’s incredible what happens when people know that you really care about them.

The next time that you go out to preach the Gospel and share the Good News, try to simply love on people instead of blatantly preaching at them. You might just give people a taste of God’s goodness by doing that!

How to Prepare for Increase in the Kingdom of God

One thing everyone seems to be going after is an increase of the Kingdom of God. Probably the most prayed prayer is the “More God”. Everyone wants more. So, how do you prepare for that more?

[For more free videos like this, check out: https://godsspeakingdevotional.com]

See, the Kingdom of heaven is all about order. Everything has a purpose and a place. And Paul himself writes that we need to do all things in order. Now, the first thing we need to understand is that the Kingdom’s order is different then earthly order. So, the first step to prepare for increase is to align with God’s order of things.

For instance, before you will really see an increase in ministry you need to respect the order that God planned within the family. Having your family in order is super important to the heart of God. Paul writes that a minister must first of order in his home before he’s aloud to be in ministry.

If you want increase, get to know how the Kingdom of God works and the order that is placed over everything. Once you’ve done that and aligned yourself to His Kingdom, then you’ll be ready for the increase that He wants to give you.

Find your Destiny: How to know God’s will for your life!

Wondering how you can know God’s will for your life? You can find your destiny!

God created each of us for a specific destiny and life calling while at the same time He has a universal destiny for us as Christians as well.

[For more free videos like this, check out: https://godsspeakingdevotional.com]

We are His workmanship and His handiwork. While our universal goal is to lead people into the Father’s embrace and help them see the goodness of God, you are uniquely different from everyone else as well.

Using your personality, your skills, your gifts, and your values, you can kind of tell what purpose you were specifically destined for. The key is for you to move forward. If you don’t move forward toward something, God can’t really steer you toward His destiny for you.

A lot of the time the things that are effortless for you that you do with a lot of joy are really the things that God has called you to. Sometimes we think it’s too easy so we disvalue it’s importance while it’s really the will of God.
